Easter Holidays We would like to thank everyone who booked onto our Easter activities, they were a great success! One of the highlights was the gymkhana games including lots of mounted games and games on foot. Great fun was had by both ponies and riders.
A very well done to those who took and passed their Pony Club D and D+ tests over the holidays as well. You all put in lots of work and looked really smart as did the ponies.
Christmas Holidays Over the Christmas holidays we got up to all sorts of fun things. We started off with a Sponsored ride to raise money for a field shelter for our isolation field. Some of our older helpers dressed themselves and their ponies up and we took them for a 2 hour ride through Groombridge Village and along the Forestway on a 2 hour ride! The girls have done an amazing job and raised over £1100! Thank you to everyone who supported them. We then continued the holidays with our half day courses which were a big hit as always. These include stable management lessons - learning about how to care for the ponies - and a riding lesson. Next we had a some tinsel treks where we had a surprise visit form one of Santa's elves who had got lost!! I think we helped her find her way back in time!! Christmas Eve we had great fun playing some Christmas gymkhana games with lots of Christmas music playing and fun had by both ponies and children. The ponies all then had a quiet few days over Christmas ready to get stuck in again for the last week of the holidays. The last week we had a Pony Club day where lots of badges were achieved and the girls had training for their big Riding and Road safety test which will happen later in the year. We finished the holidays with more half day courses and private lessons. Finally, we’d like to thank everyone who has supported us throughout 2021 and thank you for your continued support in 2022! (For more photos please see our Facebook Page!)
(last of the) SUMMER HOLIDAYS Wow! What an an amazing summer we have had. We finished the summer holidays with amazing activities including: gymkhana games, handy pony, wildlife Pony Club badge, clear round showjumping and our dressage competitions. Thank you to Jan Carmichael and Antoinette Marley for judging the dressage and to Hannah Knipe for running the wildlife badge day. We really hope that all had as much fun taking part in these activities as we did running them! Watch our Facebook and the website for any updates for next school holidays. In the mean time, we are running lessons as normal!
CONGRATULATIONS We would like to offer a huge congratulations to everyone who took their Pony Club D and D+ tests on Friday; we’re pleased to announce that everyone passed with flying colours. Both ponies and riders were all turned out to an amazing standard. We’d also like to say thank you to Amelia Wilbourn for coming in to test our groups. Well done to all!
(More) Summer Holidays We’ve had an amazing couple of weeks with the completion of our three day courses. Lots of fun was had learning about feeding, points of the tack and preparing a pony for in-hand showing. Some of our newest Pony Club members have recently started jumping too! In the coming weeks we have our dressage competition, clear-round showjumping and PC wildlife badge day to look forward to - which we can’t wait for.
We’d like to thank everyone for their support of our summer activities as well as all of our helpers - without them these would not be possible.
Summer Holidays The summer has got off to a flying start with the completion of our first 3 day course of the holidays and a visit to our farriers for older Pony Club members. Much fun was had by all on the 3 day course with lots of different things learnt. Highlights were: riding a dressage test and a course of jumps, bareback riding, painting ponies to learn points of pony, catching in and turning the ponies out to the fields, and leading ponies. Some of our Pony Club members also got their E test as well as earning some badges! Well done to all who achieved these. We would like to say a massive thank you to our Farriers Pete and Arran for allowing us to go and visit them at their Forge. So much was learned about the hoof and shoeing, and how shoes are made. We all able made a shoe of our own - which is much harder than Pete and Arran make it look!
Pony Club tests We would like to say a massive congratulations to all who took and passed their D and D+ exams on Wednesday (12th August). A big thank you to Amelia Wilbourn for coming and testing everyone. You all looked very smart and did a fantastic job on turning your ponies out to a very high standard. Well done!
Looking very proud with their certificates!

We are also pleased to announce that with the reopening of The Broadwater Warren we are now able to offer hacking for those over 15 and who have already had a private lesson. We can now take bookings for new customers and lead rein lessons. If you would like to book or have any other questions please give us a call on 01892 864807. Again we would like to say a massive thank you to all who have supported us through this time. We are looking forward to welcoming you back.
Sponsoring a Pony Times are hard for everyone across the country, and we are no different. Without lessons running we have no income, but still have all our horses and ponies to care for, feed, shoe and medicate. We have some people already come forward wanting to help out with the care of our animals. To those we say a very big thank you. If you would like to support us by sponsoring your favourite pony, then please email usfor more information on how to do so. We look forward to welcoming you back to South Farm in the not too distant future.
